Spain's son, Mordillo was born in Villa Pueyrredón on August 4, 1932. His father was an electrician and his mother was employed. At 13, he decided to devote himself to drawing. Graduated as an illustrator from the School of Journalism, he moved to Lima, Peru for 23 years, where he worked in an advertising agency.

After five years, he moved to New York, where he was employed by Paramount. They ordered him Popeye movements for cinema. The study went through an economic crisis and to save they did a kind of animation where only the face and arms expressed themselves.

Mordillo wanted to make full animation and he led to Paris. For three years he made live greeting cards. Then he tried with humor for graphic press. Because he did not master French, he made them stupid. Decades later I would say in an interview: "I speak five languages ​​but the one I speak best is the drawing, which is universal".

His illustrations in the famous newspaper Paris Match They were the trigger for a world leader. His drawings are later reproduced by the German newspaper Stern and from there to publications around the world.

Already weekend he shared his life between Paris and Mallorca. He was married to Amparo Camarasa and had two children, Sebastién and Cécile.

In Argentina he was awarded the Konex Prize in 1992 and the gold medal from the Argentine illustrator association.
