The fourth edition of Trophée La Plume de Pierre-Lebanon 2020

The Pierre Sadek Foundation, with the collaboration of the Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts- ALBA, Université de Balamand and the participation of École Superieure Estienne- Paris is launching the fourth edition of Trophée, La Plume de Pierre” for Lebanese students and the third edition for Independents in Lebanon and abroad.

Contest regulations:

1st article /participants

A-Students Award

The Pierre Sadek “Student Award” in its fourth edition is open to students enrolled in art, design, animation, audio visual and architecture programs in Lebanese universities during the academic year 2019 – 2020

B-Independent Award

The Pierre Sadek “Independent Award” in its third edition is open to all the professionals, artists and amateurs of Lebanon and abroad.

-Theme of this edition of “La Plume de Pierre”2020 for the Students is:

The Greater Lebanon (1920-2020)

-For the independents:

3rd article /Registration & Delivery

Participants may compete with more than one drawing or animated cartoon and must submit their entries no later than the 31 January 2020 by electronic mail send to:

4th article /formats

Submitted editorial drawings or animated editorial cartoons must follow the below guidelines:

- By electronic mail, send drawings in A4 format, pdf or jpeg, 300 dpi or 30 seconds short video ( HD format 1920x1080 - H264 )

- Name of electronic document: “family name_ first name.pdf” or family name_ first name.jpg”.

When sending several drawings or videos, number the files: “family name_ first name_ number of drawing.pdf” or “family name_ first name_number of drawing.jpg”

- Important note: in the main body of the electronic mails, mention the following information: Family name, first name, university affiliation, year of study, post mail address and mobile phone number.

5th article /invitation

Each participant whose drawing(s) or animated cartoons are short-listed will receive by mail, an invitation to the Award ceremony scheduled for 20 February, 2020

6th article /selection

A-Students Award

A jury of professionals convening in February 2020 will choose the winners. Results will be announced at the award ceremony and on the Pierre Sadek Foundation website www.pierresadekfoundation.org ,Facebook and Instagram pages.

B-Independent Award The jury of professionals convening in February 2020 will elect the winner.

Results will be announced at the award ceremony and on the Pierre Sadek Foundation website www.pierresadekfoundation.org and Facebook and Instagram pages.

7th article (prizes)

A-Students Award

The first Winner of the editorial cartoons/caricature will receive the Trophy” Touma”, a cash prize of $1500 offered by the Pierre Sadek Foundation and a trip to Paris to participate at Presse Citron’s exhibition.

The first winner of the animated editorial cartoons/caricature will receive the Trophy “Touma”, a cash prize of $1500 offered by the Pierre Sadek Foundation and a trip to Paris to participate at Presse Citron’s exhibition.

The second and third winners will receive the Trophy, La Plume de Pierre. His/her drawing or animated cartoons will be displayed at Presse Citron’s exhibition in Paris.

B-Independent Awar

The winner will receive the trophy “Touma” and a trip to Paris to participate at Presse Citron’s exhibition.

8th article (rights)

Participating candidates allow, unless otherwise agreed, the Pierre Sadek Foundation to present, exhibit, publish and reproduce their entries, non–exclusively, whether within the frame of the award’s public communication campaigns or in any other framework.

9th article (guarantees)

Candidates guarantee tenure of intellectual property and rights over their submitted drawings and accordingly protect the Pierre Sadek Foundation and ALBA-UOB and shall not be responsible for any intellectual property right infringements or the misuse of any third party right.

Participation in the contest involves an unconditional and total acceptance of the above stated regulations.
