How to Draw a Cartoon Doctor
Cartoon doctor drawing
There are certain attributes to include in a cartoon doctor drawing, as much with any simplification of things we see in real life - it's a few key features that allow us to look at something and think - yup, that's a (fill in the blank!).
Here, we've got a physician - and we can tell by his long white coat - but much more revealing - the head mirror.
Let's begin!
First Step - Draw a Simple Framework
To begin sketching your character - create a simple framework composed of shapes and lines, just as I've done below. Feel free to make yours wider, thinner, taller, shorter, etc. --- there's really no end to how you can make it look!
Here it is...

Pretty simple looking isn't it! The green lines - indicating the placement of the limbs are really much too small in the framework. But I did this on purpose. I only want a guideline, and sometimes - just the placement of the simplest of lines will help keep placement as you draw.
Let's continue on to the drawing now...
Second Step - How to Draw a Cartoon Doctor
Starting at the central area of his head - eyes, glasses, mouth, etc. -- go ahead and draw your physician step by step, using the examples provided to help you progress.
Here's how it looks...

And in the end, you've got your very own brand new character - ready to help those in need! But I'm wondering... did you keep yours looking like mine? Or -- did you change various aspects of yours?
Maybe you drew a woman as opposed to a man? Maybe your character is taller - has different colored clothing on. Or maybe yours is wearing 'scrubs' - just like the hit TV show!
