3rd INTERNATIONAL CARTOON CONTEST HUMAN RIGHTS ASSOCIATION TURKEY 2026
The Culture and Arts Commission of the Human Rights Association Istanbul Branch has officially announced the “3rd International Cartoon Contest in Turkey 2026,” inviting cartoonists from around the world to participate with works focused on the theme of Children’s Rights.
The competition aims to raise awareness about the challenges children face globally, including war, poverty, violence, discrimination, and inequality, while emphasizing every child’s fundamental rights to safety, education, freedom of expression, and a peaceful future.
According to the organizers, cartoon art has a unique power to express social realities and human suffering through humor, criticism, and visual storytelling. The contest seeks to create a collective conscience through the universal language of cartoons and to become a voice for children whose rights are often ignored.
The competition is open to both amateur and professional cartoonists worldwide, including participants under the age of 18. The event will feature two separate categories:
Adult Category
Under 18 Category
Participants may submit an unlimited number of cartoons created with any artistic technique. Previously published works are accepted, provided they have not won awards in other competitions. However, artworks produced using Artificial Intelligence will not be accepted.
Submitted cartoons must be in JPG format, maximum A3 size (29.7 x 42 cm), and 300 dpi resolution. Along with their entries, participants must include their full name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, short biography, age, and a personal photograph. Participants under 18 are also required to specify their date of birth.
All participating artists will receive a digital certificate.
The exhibition and award ceremony will take place in Istanbul on a date to be announced later. Competition results are expected to be announced in December 2026.
