Falun Gong International Cartoon Contest 2017, USA
Welcome to the First Annual FoFG Cartoon Competition! This is an excellent opportunity for graphic artists and enthusiasts to put their talents to use for a great cause: to help the world understand and end a genocide happening right now in China.
Falun Gong is an ancient Chinese meditation practice of mind and body that follows the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. However, in China, practitioners who have broken no laws are subject to kidnapping by the police, imprisonment, forced labor, torture, and even live organ harvesting.
These crimes against humanity are committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and have continued for 18 years. Using propaganda and business ties, the CCP has tried to silence world governments from criticizing this horrendous genocide.
The international community of human rights advocates have been taking action to bring an end to the persecution, but we need more help in spreading the word.

Daxiong, guest judge
Daxiong is best known for his work illustrating the MouWang series and his illustrations for “Demi Gods and Semi Devils” written by Chinese novelist Jin Yong, who is the best-selling Chinese author alive.
In 2008 Daxiong was arrested and sent to a prison in China because his art offended the Chinese Communist Party by illustrating parts of the book “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.” In prison he was tortured for about two months but was then rescued by friends in the U.S. and has now settled in New York City with his wife Bin Bin Chen. He has since worked on Justice League of America, written by Amanda Mcmurray, among other achievements.
