Winners of Whoosh International Cartoon Contest 2023 - Indonesia
The Whoosh International Cartoon Contest, a global gathering of creative minds, recently wrapped up in a dynamic ceremony held at Jakarta’s Jimbaran Garden, Indonesia's capital.
Orchestrated by PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), the contest was designed to spotlight the high-speed ‘Whoosh’ train service that zips between Jakarta and Bandung. International cartoonists were invited to visually interpret the new ‘Lifestyle Whoosh’ civilization, a concept that blends speed, comfort, and modern living.
Winners hailed from a diverse range of countries, including Indonesia, China, Cuba, Iran, Romania, and Italy. Awards ranged from IDR 2.5 million to IDR 25 million, the contest attracted 296 cartoonists from 40 countries, with a total of 424 cartoon works and 97 comic works submitted, making for a truly international event.
The contest featured two categories: Cartoon and Comics.
