REGULATION OF THE CARICATURE SECTION

International Festival of Satirical Graphics “SAUL STEINBERG”, 2025 (FIRST EDITION)

The contest is aimed at cartoonists from all over the world.

The International Festival of Satire and Humor – SAUL STEINBERG” takes place on October 17-19,  2025 and includes:

Satirical Graphics Section:                                    

The competition is structured on two subsections:

    Humorous drawing with the theme – “STAR, STARS” and subsequent derivatives

    Portrait with the theme: “SAUL STEINBERG – caricaturist of the world”

A maximum of 3 papers can be submitted to the assignment. The drawings will be accompanied by a CV, in Romanian or English, which will contain: name and surname, address, contact telephone number, e-mail, country of origin, copy of ID / Passport and an IBAN account.

The works will be sent, in JPG format (300dpi).

The deadline for submitting papers is September 1, 2025.

The works selected for the awards will be included in the “SAUL STEINBERG” Satirical Graphics Salon – 2025.

The works entered in the competition will be evaluated by an international jury made up of prominent personalities in the field.

Note:

Works submitted after September 1, 2025 will not be admitted to the competition.

The prizes of the two competition sections consist of money, diplomas and trophies.

3 prizes and a mention will be awarded for each subsection, as follows:

The festival will end with the Laureates’ Gala, in which the award-winning caricaturists and other invited caricaturists will participate.

The right to award and rank the prizes on the competition sections, as well as their redistribution, belongs exclusively to the jury.

The works sent for the contest are not returned to the contestants, they remain for the festival archive. The organizers will be able to publish/post the works later.
