EXTENDED SUGGESTION OF THEMES FOR CREATING WORKS
1. “Your Power, Your Story” (Women) From global movements for gender equity and representation, this theme invites artists to reflect on the evolution of women’s power, struggles, and triumphs. It’s about reclaiming narratives — with intelligence and grace. “Your Side of the Story” Highlights women’s voices, power, and everyday resistance. Focus: Gender equality, motherhood, and everyday feminine genius.
2. “Blue is the New Green” (Nature, Water, and the Environment) Focuses on the planet’s water crisis, rising sea levels, pollution, and climate change. The humor here can be a powerful, playful yet urgent paradox. “The Last Drop” Water shortages, floods, seas of plastic, nature’s cry for help. Focus: Environmental humor and ecological solutions.
3. “Sorry, I’m just an AI” (Technology, AI and the Human Future) From deepfakes to ChatGPT and robot dogs dancing on YouTube, humanity is asking itself: what makes us human when machines start doing everything?
“404: Humanity Not Found” The failure of modern life, AI, disconnection, technological dependence. Focus: Social media addiction, absurd algorithms, lost empathy and artificial intelligence overcoming common sense.
4. “System Errors” We live surrounded by failures — some technological, some human, many social. They are useless notifications, emotional crashes, forgotten passwords, behavioral bugs, ideas that don’t load and connections that drop… with or without Wi-Fi. In the midst of so many systems — operational, institutional, mental — humor can be the antivirus or the revealing glitch itself. Focus: Everyday failures, error messages, modern crashes and the irony of living in a world that demands constant performance… even when the system fails. What’s left when everything crashes? Laughing may be the only command that still works.
5. “Laughing Under Pressure” (Mental Health and Society)
The post-pandemic world has brought mental health into the spotlight. This theme invites reflections on Burnout, therapeutic culture, with lightness and depth. “Laughing During the Breakdown” Stress, therapy, emotional survival and the irony of modern sanity. Focus: Self-help trends, anxiety at work, therapy clichés and silent struggles.
6. “The Illusion of Planet B” (Out-of-this-World: Space, Science Fiction & Escape, Politics)Whether it’s billionaires and politicians running for space or fantasies of starting over on Mars, this theme satirizes humanity’s desire to escape our problems by looking up instead of inward, and the mismanagement of politicians to harmonize life under their rule. “Oops, I Voted Again” Democracy, misinformation, and the circus of politics. Focus: Political nonsense, populism, Fake News, manipulation, and what happens when the clown wins.
7. “The Taste Algorithm” (Culture, Trends, and Meme Fixation)What is art, what is content, and what is just a TikTok trend? “Common Sense Has Abandoned the Group Chat” Focus: Artists can play with the blurry lines between high and low culture, real and fake, fast and timeless.
