SEMARANG CARTOONFEST EXHIBITION 2025
The Indonesian Cartoonists Association (PAKARTI) invites all Indonesian cartoonists to participate in the “Semarang Cartoonfest 2025” exhibition, an event to appreciate and celebrate cartoon creativity. This exhibition is also part of the PAKARTI General Conference (Mubes) and the “Indonesian Cartoon Museum” Focus Group Discussion (FGD).
Entry Theme
Participants can choose one of the following themes:
a. Cartoons as Cultural Heritage
b. Indonesian Cartoon Museum
c. Semarang in the Eyes of Cartoonists
Requirements
1. Each cartoonist must submit one (1) best work and
3 reference works (own work, no year of creation is limited).
2. Entries must be original; AI (Artificial Intelligence) works are not permitted.
3. Entry size: A3, JPEG format, 300 dpi resolution.
4. Send your artwork files to:
pakartiindonesia2024@gmail.com with the subject line:
cartoonist’s name – title of artwork.
Include a description of the artwork, a short CV, and a photo of yourself
and three reference works.
5. Submission deadline: October 10, 2025.
6. The exhibition will be held on:
October 18–19, 2025
Oudetrap Building, Semarang Old Town
7. Submitted artworks can be used by PAKARTI for publication and promotion of the vision and mission of Pakarti
and the Indonesian Cartoon Museum on various media platforms.

The Semarang Cartoonfest 2025 exhibition is part of the celebration of important events:
• PAKARTI’s General Assembly (Mubes) as the organization’s highest decision-making forum.
• The “Indonesian Cartoon Museum” Focus Group Discussion (FGD) is a strategic step towards realizing the Indonesian Cartoon Museum as a research and documentation space for Indonesian cartoons, visual education, an art tourism destination, and cultural diplomacy.
