29th International Cartoon Humor and Satire Competition- Slovakia-2026

Eligibility and Categories
The competition is divided into two age categories.
First category: participants up to 15 years of age
Second category: participants over 15 years of age
Works and Technique
Competition works may be created in black and white or in color, using any technique.
Paper size must be A4.
Each author may submit up to five competition works.
Labeling of Works
Each work must be labeled on the back with the following information:
Title of the competition work
Author’s name and surname
Age
Occupation
Phone number
Email address
Submission Deadline
The deadline to post all competition works is April 17, 2026, based on the postal stamp date.
Jury and Awards
The jury appointed by the organizers will award prizes for the best works in each category.
Awards for participants up to 15 years of age
First prize: material prize
Second prize: material prize
Third prize: material prize
Awards for participants over 15 years of age
First prize: financial reward of 500 EUR
Second prize: financial reward of 300 EUR
Third prize: financial reward of 100 EUR
Additional Regulations
If a winner is unable to attend the award ceremony, all deposit fees will be deducted from the prize.
The jury reserves the right not to award any prize or to grant only honorable mentions.
The submitted works will not be returned.
The organizers reserve the right to publish and promote all submitted works.
Exhibition and Award Ceremony
The best works will be exhibited as part of the event “Days of Brezno 2026”.
The exhibition opening and award ceremony will take place on May 28, 2026, at the Synagogue, Štúrova 11, in Brezno.
