Finalists Announced for the 15th International Cartoon Contest 2026
The organizing committee of the 15th International Cartoon Contest 2026, held as part of the 25th International Olive Festival in Kyrenia, Cyprus, has announced the provisional finalists for both the Olive Section and the Free Section.
The published lists do not represent the final award winners. Instead, they have been released as part of a public review process, allowing the international cartoon community to examine the selected works before the official results are confirmed.
This year’s competition attracted 148 cartoonists from 44 countries, who submitted a total of 586 cartoons. The judging sessions took place between June 15–18, 2026, at the Dome Hotel in Kyrenia.
The international jury consisted of:
Murat Şenkul
M. Serhan Gazioğlu
Ivailo Tsvetkov
Musa Keklik
Musa Kayra
Zafer Turkulu
Hüseyin Çakmak
Following the evaluation process, the jury selected the provisional finalists for both the Olive Section and the Free Section.
Objection Period Open Until July 15
The organizing committee has invited cartoonists, researchers, and cartoon organizations around the world to carefully review the published finalist cartoons.
If any selected work is found to have previously received an award, to be substantially similar to another work, or to be copied or imitated, documented objections may be submitted to the organizers. Verified objections will result in the removal of the relevant cartoon from the finalist list, and the next highest-scoring work will be considered as a replacement.
The deadline for submitting objections is July 15, 2026, at 24:00 (Cyprus Time).
The organizers also emphasized that objections submitted without clear documentation and supporting evidence will not be considered.
